The Foundation

Twenty years.
One standard.

Why we work the way we work, what we will never compromise, and what every piece we make has in common.

Aurel & Co. was founded in 2004 by a goldsmith who had spent a decade learning the trade — first as an apprentice in Florence, then under a master setter in Hatton Garden. The intention was simple: to make jewellery properly, without shortcuts, and only for people who understood why that mattered.

The name Aurel comes from the Latin for gold — aurum. It is not a family name. It is a statement of intent. Gold is the material. The work is the thing.

We remain a single-goldsmith studio. There is no production team, no outsourced setting, no third-party caster. Every piece that leaves this workshop was made entirely by one pair of hands — and those hands have been doing this for more than twenty years.

How We Work

Our Principles.

Entirely by Hand

No CAD modelling. No casting from a template. We forge, file, solder and set by hand — the way jewellery has been made for centuries.

Ethical Sourcing

All metals are responsibly sourced. All diamonds are GIA certified and conflict-free. Coloured stones come from cutters we know personally.

One at a Time

We take commissions one at a time. Your piece has our full attention — not a share of it. This is the only way we know how to work.
